Shout outs to Sunburst’s newest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters highlights a few spots in her home decked out with stylish new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer with a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. Just one look at her pictures shows how she mixes and matches both neutral and brighter tones for a look that’s warm and calming, but fashionable all at the same time.

Chelsey even offered some advice for DIYers in Kingsport and around the country:

  • Have a color scheme. When you decorate a room, you can always adjust colors to customize it. Be sure to pull in hues from either your home’s color pallet or ones that can complement it.

  • Be flexible in your color usage. I use white shutters and most of my furniture includes shades of gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So I chose to mix in splashes of white and color accents.

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but her use of space in her design is fantastic too. From her chairs that lead the eyes right up to the wall and her classic shutters, to the way her shelving lines up perfectly under the window, Chelsey’s house is fashion-forward, practical, and very livable without ever looking overdecorated.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see her entire body of work, take a look at her personal site at
